Q: How can I tell if mold is hidden behind my walls?

Q: What causes mold to grow after water damage?

A: Mold needs moisture, organic material, and time. After any water event flooding, leaks, or high humidity spores that are always present begin colonizing within 24 to 48 hours. That’s why drying and mitigation should start immediately after water intrusion.

Q: Is bleach effective for removing mold?

A: No. Bleach kills surface mold but doesn’t penetrate porous materials like drywall, wood, or insulation, where roots remain. It also doesn’t address the moisture source. Professional remediation removes contaminated materials and treats surfaces properly.

Q: Can I stay in my home during mold remediation?
